PROJECT 1:
Hatha Yoga and Aerial Yoga
In 2025 Sport England generously funded a 12-month Yoga and Aerial Yoga programme. The programme supported adults in the Washington and Sunderland area, who faced barriers to physical activity through poor mental health, trauma, menopause, bereavement and low income.
The project brought lasting benefits to participants by building strength, mobility, emotional resilience and social connection by regular physical activity as a sustainable part of their everyday lives. We built a small community in Washington.
Our current classes for Hatha Yoga and Aerial Yoga can be booked here at community rates.
All sessions are held in an accessible venue at Tempest Dance Studio Washington Columbia Washington with a fully trained trauma informed Yoga Instructor
Feedback: “The participants are so sociable and we chat over tea . It’s amazing how many of the class members are in a similar position and makes one realise you’re not “ the only one” working through what life offers.” “I hadn’t done any exercise for about 15 years, Mandy’s classes have given me to confidence to also join a small gym where I’m now doing weight training. At 66 years old I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do this if I hadn’t attended these yoga classes.” “Thank you for the huge impact you have had on my wellbeing.”

Project 2:
The Seventh Space
Thanks to the generosity of the Barbour Foundation we were able to provide monthly women’s circle named The Seventh Space. This was a safe, empowering space for women to gather, share and grow – free from judgement, full of possibility. A sanctuary, a quiet rebellion against isolation. It was free to join and was opened to ALL women. #TheSeventhSpace #SharedStrength
We created a community of women who shared their stories and supported each other building a beautiful community in Washington.
Feedback: “My life and outlook is changing. People close to me have noticed a difference. I would like to thank Mandy and her sponsors from the bottom of my heart.” “I can’t speak highly enough of the women’s circle. The format works
really well and the energy is always supportive.” “I want to say a big thank you to you for all you have helped me with over the last few weeks. Since meeting you and doing the Women’s Circle and the Sound baths I feel like I’m on a new path and
journey of life. I feel I’m starting over and all new opportunities are opening up in front of me.”

Project 3:
Blended Sound Healing, QiGong and Meditation
We received generous funding from The National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All programme to deliver Blended Sound Healing, QiGong and Meditation for the people of Washington.
We managed to create a safe space, physically and emotionally, where people were able to build relationships and community that lead to feeling supported and connected. Our weekly Sunday sessions were delivered by a trauma-informed facilitator alongside volunteers with lived experience and were open to anyone facing emotional or physical challenges, including:
-People living with cancer and their families
-Those bereaved by suicide or experiencing complex grief
-People experiencing depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem
-Menopausal women
-Young LGBTQIA+ people and others struggling with identity, isolation or bullying
-Those caring for children with autism and people with additional needs
Sound Healing sessions involved some participants in hammocks or on mats under weighted blankets with the Reiki infused healing vibrations of the gongs, frequency tubes, rain sticks, drums and more to regulate the nervous system and reduce anxiety. The QiGong element supported mobility, core strength, emotional regulation and body awareness with seated meditation to restore balance and connect Mind and Body.
At the heart of the programme was a commitment to reducing isolation, improving physical and mental wellbeing, and build self-worth – and we managed to achieve this.
We now hold Sound Healing sessions every month with community pricing. All sessions are held in an accessible venue at Tempest Dance Studio Washington Columbia Book your sessions here.
Feedback: “I suffer from chronic pain and find the sessions so healing and restorative. The space Mandy has created is special. Where people are made to feel comfortable and safe” “The space felt calm, safe, and deeply restorative, allowing me to truly switch off and just be. The vibrations and sounds flowed through me, helping to release tension and quiet my mind. It gave me the perfect opportunity to rest, heal, and reconnect with myself. I left feeling lighter, grounded, and full of peace. Can’t thank you enough for this accessible space”

Project 4:
Children’s Aerial Yoga
A huge thank you to The Rothley Trust who generously awarded us funding for Children’s Aerial Yoga. These important sessions were for primary age children and young people aged up to 16 with disabilities, particularly those with autism and sensory needs. Aerial Yoga is ideal as it uses strong fabric hammocks suspended from the ceiling that let the body stretch, sway and relax in a way that’s calming and regulating. For children who struggle with movement or sensory overwhelm, the hammock gives both freedom and safety and they can just have fun as well as improve core strength and balance. We saw the children in our classes open up, grow in confidence and take pride in what their body can do.
Your child does not have to have an official diagnosis to take part in our sessions.
Now we have sessions available to book on our website at full rate pricing www.7dimensions.co.uk . All sessions are held in an accessible venue at Tempest Dance Studio Washington Columbia
Feedback: “What an amazing, safe and Inclusive space. An absolute gem. In a world that wasn’t designed to support neurodivergence, you have created a space that really is.” “My son has became more confident, he has mentioned the teacher noticing he’s better at PE and he said it’s because he goes to yoga.” “The sessions are ideal for her with only being 5 kids in the room. She’s very sensitive to loud noises so a larger group wouldn’t work for her.“
